Pressure on the Quebec provincial government to revise its new anti-vaping law increased in magnitude today as the Canadian Vaping Association filed its constitutional challenge to Quebec’s recently updated Tobacco Control Act.
The legal action requires the province of Quebec to demonstrate that its vaping restrictions in Bill-44 are proportionate and balanced—a high hurdle lawyers say would be hard for the government to step over.
